Happy Spring…..

Hello bloggy buddies! Hope everyone had a great week. I know we did!!  Spring has sprung for sure in the northeast. We had temperatures this week in the 70’s. It was amazing. Now I have had a taste of what you folks in the south experience all winter long….lol. I even broke out the flip flops yesterday!

Of course this year I bought my kids new snow boots, new snow pants and 2 sleds and it didn’t snow once!  But it is ok….I would much rather have the nice weather. And with that, I decided to get a manicure in honor of the nice weather yesterday.

Do you like the flowers??

A basket…..

I wanted to share with you today I few quick things that I made for Christopher’s school. Well, now that he is in Kindergarten, I had to join the PTA of course….lol. The PTA was hosting a Supermarket Bingo night where families could come to the school to play Bingo and win bags full of groceries. Along with that, there were baskets around the gym that people could win by purchasing raffles. The PTA worked very hard to gather donations for the baskets. And there were some really nice things to be won like Keuring machines, massages, restaurant gift certificates, bikes, lotto trees and much more.

I decided I would make something handmade from my Etsy shop. I partnered up with my friend Susan who has Lola's Baby Boutique to put together a nice basket that would be raffled off. Susan’s makes adorable hair bows and all things girly so we did a girls accessory basket. I forgot to take a picture of the finished basket…lol. But here is what I made.

Bathroom Renovation….

Rise and shine, happy Monday!! The weekend is over and we are back to school and work today. I know that last week I was going to try and get back to a ‘normal’ blogging routine, but I fell short again these past few days. I am horrible, I know…….lol! But I forgot to tell you in my last post one other reason I have been so crazy. The reason is this……

The hubs just finished gutting our main floor bath…..

We have two bathrooms in our house, one upstairs and one downstairs. Both are kind of in need of a renovation, but the upstairs one was worse…lol. I do not have a master bathroom so this is shared by us and the kids. I did have a doorway from my bedroom in to the bathroom though. And we did use it. But with this reno, we decided to close up the doorway so our master bedroom could have more closet space. I think I can walk an extra five feet to the main door and it is not going to kill me. Closets to any woman are way more important!!!

I have spent countless hours and numerous trips back and forth, looking at vanities, picking out tile, lighting and a tub and toilet. All to find out….I need to START OVER AGAIN!!! I picked a vanity and planned the entire bathroom around it. Well, I went to order that vanity last Friday and it is discontinued!! I was so mad.

So, now I am going to be smarter. I am ordering the vanity first and then I will pick out the tile and the fixtures once I receive the vanity. The tub and toilet are ordered, so those will stay. But, renovations are hard…..there are so many decisions. I am going for a more traditional, classy look with this bathroom and I wanted a vanity that looked more like a piece of antique furniture and it was not easy to find!!

I was thinking along these lines for the vanity…..

Ok…and these would be my dream bathrooms if I was rich and had the space….

So, wish me luck during this process that I do not have a nervous breakdown and that I do not divorce my husband since he will be doing all of the work…..lol! No, seriously, I am so thankful that my husband can do anything. He saves us alot of money and no one is more meticulous than he is!! I know it will be beautiful.

Have a great day....
