Happy Monday!! Hope you all had a great weekend. We are now back on track….school is in session and we are following our daily routine once again! And as part of our weekly routine…..here are my random musings for this Monday.
ONE. The highlight of our weekend came on Saturday. I think I may of mentioned that we enrolled Christopher in ‘acting’ class. This child dresses up all day long. He has an incredible imagination and we just thought it might be fun for him. And we were right….he loves the class. Well, this weekend his class did a little performance of the Wizard of Oz. A few weeks in to the class he came home with a ‘script’ (hello…he cannot read…LOL) and we practiced his lines as the Tin Man. He knew every line but I wasn’t sure how he was going to do once he got up there….but he was awesome. I was so proud : )
TWO. I have come to the conclusion that I was born a klutz and will always be a klutz. And unfortunately I have passed this trait on to my child. I must drop or bang something once every five minutes and Christopher is the same way. I am now starting to realize that so much time is taken out of my day due to the spills and messes we create that need to be cleaned up. Is there some meds I can take to make me less klutzy and more classy?? LOL!
THREE. Tonight we are picking up our new car…yeah!! Can you guess which one of these we are getting??
Happy Monday…

Phone Photo Friday…
Oh..TGIF!!! I mean that more than ever this week. Having both kids home all week was a lot, especially when a girl is PMS-ing..LOL! Thankfully we had birthday parties and lunch dates to get us out of the house. And of course, a few shopping trips : )
Here are a few quick photos for this week’s Phone Photo Friday…
Here is Anthony wearing his shades…what a face…looks like the sun still might be in his eyes with that expression!
Yesterday we took a trip to the mall. Well wouldn’t you know that just as we were driving both kids had to poop!! Thankfully I keep the portable potty in the car. Not that Christopher has ever pooped in it. I did pull over and let him ‘try’ to go. And he didn’t. I knew he wouldn’t….he only poops at home. But Anthony had gone so I figured I might as well change his diaper while we were stopped. Thankfully I have a roomy truck (which, by the way, we are turning in for a new one on Monday..stay tuned to see what we get). The joys of motherhood….
And lastly, there is a pic of what I was doing when we were home…..playing Lego’s. Christopher is obsessed!! We need to be a little more careful these days so Anthony doesn’t end up with one in his ear..LOL!
Now it is your turn…..link up with us and share what is stored in that phone of yours. We can’t wait to see!
Have a great weekend…

Home Tour Tuesday…
Wow….it is Tuesday again. And you all know what that means….Home Tour Tuesday. This week’s theme is ‘show us your tv room.’ When it comes to interior design….I have a problem. His name is Chris and he is my husband. He is the only man I know that needs to be involved in everything and it is very hard when we almost always disagree on style. I swear, my house would probably look totally different if I had more money and a husband who wasn’t such a pain in the neck…LOL!
On to my tv room….
We do not have a tv in our formal living room upstairs. We have a tv in our bedroom and so does Christopher. That means we need to go downstairs to the ‘den’ to watch tv together as a family. We spend a lot of time in the den since the kids playroom is down there too. We usually will go down after dinner and watch tv. The best is when we watch American Idol. The funny thing is that both Christopher and Anthony are totally into the show….we actually act it out during the commercials. Anyway, den used to be my hubby’s ‘man cave’ before we had kids. There is a dart board, a bar and even a game table. But now, the toys are slowly making there way out from the play room into the den…LOL!
The sectional down here is great…it is so comfy and all of the chairs recline!
We used to have a coffee table….but since the kiddos, we got rid of it.
On the other side of the room is a small kitchen, the bar, and the game table..along with a closet that is filled with toys! This whole area, including the playroom and a bathroom, used to be an apartment that we rented when we first bought the house. Since it was just the two of us then, we didn’t need the space. But add 2 kids and I don’t know what I would do without it!!
The other thing I love about this area is that there is a door to the backyard. In the summer months it is great that we can go outside, have parties and play…then come in to get a drink or use the bathroom and no one has to mess my upstairs!!
That's all folks....thanks for visiting….happy Tuesday!

NOT the Mom of the Year….
Happy President’s Day everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend. Ours was good….except for a ‘little incident’ that really had me quite a bit frightened. Well, actually, it could have me nominated for ‘NOT Mom of the Year.’
I have to backtrack a little bit so you get the whole story…
Saturday morning my sister Nicole called me up and asked if we wanted tickets to ‘Sesame Street Live.’ She had gotten 4 free tickets and wasn’t going to use them. We didn’t have any major plans so I thought it would be fun to surprise the kids and take them into NYC to see the show. By the way, we have gone to the city more times in the last few weeks than we have in years…LOL! But before we went, I needed to stop and help my other sister Jeanna do her make-up for a wedding she was going to.
Okay…we get to the city and the kids are so excited when they see that we are going to the Elmo show. As we are waiting for the show to start Anthony points to his ear and says ’piece…ear.’ I responded ‘you have a piece in your ear?’ He was just looking around, taking it all in, and then the show started. I really did not think much of his comment. Anthony didn’t know what to expect, so he just sat on my lap and watched. He was pretty relaxed. I was thinking maybe he was tired, although he did take a nap before we left.
Now, intermission comes and he points to his ear and says ‘piece…ear.’ Again, I repeat, ‘you have a piece in your ear?’ But just then the lights go down and the show continues. He watches but was on the quiet side the rest of the night and he falls asleep on the car ride home. Again, I didn't think anything of his comments....
Sunday morning comes and he gets up early. I am sitting in his room reading one of Christopher’s Lego sticker books (not sure if I have mentioned it before…but Christopher is a fanatic about Lego’s). We are flipping through the pages and he points to a little green Lego piece in the book and says ‘piece…ear.’ What?? The lightbulb finally goes off! Now I am thinking….could he have a piece in his ear?? My heart starts pounding. I quickly turn him to look in his ear….and low and behold….HE HAS A GREEN LEGO PIECE IN HIS EAR!!!!
What is wrong with me?? The poor kid had it in his ear from the day before and he tried to tell me and I didn’t get it!! Why didn’t I look when he mentioned it at the show?? Now I call for the hubs because I don’t want to try to get it out alone. Chris got the tweezers and thankfully was able to pull it out!!
Can you imagine? He was probably so uncomfortable all night. What if it had gone in deeper? The kid could have gone deaf and it would have been my fault. The lesson learned here….listen to your kids when they are trying to tell you something. And now you can nominate me for “NOT the Mom of the Year’….I deserve it : )
Okay…now I will share a few pics from the show…before I knew my son had a Lego stuck in his ear…LOL!
And here is my little sister Jeanna….before I did her make-up and after. Like the ‘smokey’ eye I tried to do?? LOL! She tends to be more 'natural' and not where lots of make-up. She is beautiful either way : )
Have a good day...

Phone Photo Friday…
TGIF ladies!! The weekend is here, the weather has been in the 50’s and I am loving life this week. I really think the warmer weather puts everyone in a much better mood. I actually went out today in a light jacket and it was so nice to drive without the bulkiness of a big down coat! I am praying that this little ‘tease’ of nice weather continues and Spring gets here fast.
So, not sure if I told you, but last week I registered Christopher for Kindergarten!! I know, it is scary. I feel like these last almost 5 years of his life have gone by in the blink of an eye. But my feelings on that subject will make for a whole other post someday. But it leads me to my photo’s for this week’s….
We were working on a few science experiments this week at home. I might as well prepare him for Kindergarten now, right? LOL! He got a science lab as gift for Christmas and of course, he cannot make snow on his own…..I needed to supervise.
I think the goggles are a tab bit big. Doesn’t he mind you of someone named Erkel??
Oh, and to finish off the week with one last Valentine’s Day photo….here are my heart shaped pink ravioli’s I made for dinner on V-Day. And no, I didn’t make them, I bought them : )
Now, show us what you are doing during the week. We all know that cell phone is attached to your hip….what is hiding in there?? Grab the button and link up below...

Home Tour Tuesday…
Hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day yesterday. We did. It was very mellow...just the way I like it sometimes. I got to spend time with my 3 boys and nothing is betther than that : )
This week's Home Tour Tuesday is 'show us your kid's bedrooms'.....
I actually wrote this post a few weeks back in preparation and I am glad I am finally getting to post it (I hate when posts sit in my 'draft's folder..LOL). Sadly, neither one of my kids has a big room. Christopher’s is a decent size, but poor Anthony, he got shafted!
The first thing to tell you about Christopher’s room is that he does not have a headboard yet. You see, we invested in the ‘lifetime crib’ that turned to a toddler bed and then a full bed. Well, as a full bed, his room would be too tight and there would be no room for him to play. They do have a matching twin bed, but I have been too cheap to buy it. It is another $600 and I already spent way too much on this furniture. But I think I may cave because it is starting to bother me : )
Both of my kid’s have artwork in their room’s that were made for them. This portrait of Christopher above the bed was painted by my little sister. I just love it!
The dresser is a bit messy. The tv is on there as well as some Lego’s, pictures, a lamp, and a fish tank. This fish is a carnival fish that has not yet kicked the bucket. Sadly, I am waiting and hoping that he goes to his final resting place soon. I try to hang up all of the pictures that Christopher makes in school….you will see them scattered around.
The two pictures above the dresser my mother-in-law painted. I wanted her to do a mural on the wall but she was too nervous. The hubs is a bit of a fanatic about things and she didn’t want him to yell if she messed up.
The armoire….
And the boy himself….
Next…on to Anthony’s room. There is not much here to showcase : ) The second child always gets slighted. The room can only fit his crib and one dresser. I still have my rocker that I sit in everyday to get this little bugger to sleep. He loves playing kitchen…he is constantly dumping out all of the food.
Anthony is in a toddler bed. He has been for quite some time. My own fault….you would think I would have learned by the second kid. But he was literally climbing out of the crib and I didn’t need any trips to the hospital. Now you can see why this child just walks out at night and makes his way to my room : )
The picture to the left was made by my mother-in-law. You can’t really tell from the picture, but it is 3 dimensional. She did a great job. And I made the name plaque.
MIL made these one’s above the dresser too…
And the boy himself….
Happy Tuesday...

Miscellany Monday and Happy Valentine’s Day
Happy Valentine’s Day….
Today is Valentine’s Day and I hope that everyone is spending time with the one’s that they love. Take the time today to kiss your kids and kiss your husband. Tell them you love them over and over. Spread the love…it is all that we have that will ever truly make us happy.Okay….now on to some random musings for this Monday…
ONE. I have come to the realization that I am totally out of touch with pop culture. I watched part of the Grammy awards last night and I had no idea who half of the artists were. What happened…I used to be cool?? I did realize that I ‘miss’ listening to music though. Since becoming a mom, I have stopped doing so many things I love….I am going to make an effort to change that : )
TWO. Why is that God made boys wild?? I let Christopher spend some time this weekend with his older boy cousins. He had a blast. But there wasn’t a moment that I wasn’t getting hit in the head with Nerf darts or breaking up a wrestling match. I think I am in for many a trips to the ER as my boys get older!
THREE. Life would be awesome if men could experience PMS. Even just for one day. I was never a gal that was ever really moody before, after or during my period. But since having Anthony, my hormones have a mind of their own and I turn into someone else. I wish I could control it, but I can’t. I wish the hubs would understand. But he doesn’t. Can’t God make a change, come on, let the men have equal rights!!
Happy Monday…

Phone Photo Friday and a gift….
TGIF!!! Hope everyone has a good week thus far and an even better weekend coming. Is anyone planning a romantic evening for Valentine’s Day?? We are not. My NYC birthday last weekend was probably a V-Day present as well….LOL!
This week I was kind of a slacker with my phone pics. I think the days just seem to get away from me sometimes and what is on my 'to do' list doesn't always get done! I did manage to snap a few shots though...
Times Square at 8am on a Sunday morning as the sun rises..
And Christopher helping me bake my birthday cake...LOL! Of course he had to lick the bowl!
Let’s get a look at what you all have been hiding on your phones!! Link up and show us what you got : )
I also wanted to share a little ‘gift’ I made for my bloggy BFF Allie. You have heard me talk about her a million times. Have you gone over and checked her out yet?? She is one of the craftiest ladies I know. Anywho, I wanted to show her a ‘sign’ of how much our friendship means. I know she love black and purple, so I thought she might like this…
I purchased a black picture frame and hot glued fabric around the glass. I also purchased wood letters that said ‘Friends'….the letters were blue so I painted them black and added a little purple glitter paint. I hot glued the letters on along with some black butttons….and Voila…..a ‘sign’ of my friendship! Hope she enjoys it : )
