This week's Home Tour Tuesday is 'show us your kid's bedrooms'.....
I actually wrote this post a few weeks back in preparation and I am glad I am finally getting to post it (I hate when posts sit in my 'draft's folder..LOL). Sadly, neither one of my kids has a big room. Christopher’s is a decent size, but poor Anthony, he got shafted!
The first thing to tell you about Christopher’s room is that he does not have a headboard yet. You see, we invested in the ‘lifetime crib’ that turned to a toddler bed and then a full bed. Well, as a full bed, his room would be too tight and there would be no room for him to play. They do have a matching twin bed, but I have been too cheap to buy it. It is another $600 and I already spent way too much on this furniture. But I think I may cave because it is starting to bother me : )
Both of my kid’s have artwork in their room’s that were made for them. This portrait of Christopher above the bed was painted by my little sister. I just love it!
The dresser is a bit messy. The tv is on there as well as some Lego’s, pictures, a lamp, and a fish tank. This fish is a carnival fish that has not yet kicked the bucket. Sadly, I am waiting and hoping that he goes to his final resting place soon. I try to hang up all of the pictures that Christopher makes in school….you will see them scattered around.
The two pictures above the dresser my mother-in-law painted. I wanted her to do a mural on the wall but she was too nervous. The hubs is a bit of a fanatic about things and she didn’t want him to yell if she messed up.
The armoire….
And the boy himself….
Next…on to Anthony’s room. There is not much here to showcase : ) The second child always gets slighted. The room can only fit his crib and one dresser. I still have my rocker that I sit in everyday to get this little bugger to sleep. He loves playing kitchen…he is constantly dumping out all of the food.
Anthony is in a toddler bed. He has been for quite some time. My own fault….you would think I would have learned by the second kid. But he was literally climbing out of the crib and I didn’t need any trips to the hospital. Now you can see why this child just walks out at night and makes his way to my room : )
The picture to the left was made by my mother-in-law. You can’t really tell from the picture, but it is 3 dimensional. She did a great job. And I made the name plaque.
MIL made these one’s above the dresser too…
And the boy himself….
Happy Tuesday...

Your mother-in-law and sister are very talented - love those paintings!
The boys rooms are adorable! I love each of your MIL's paintings better than the next...I want to hire her ~ your plaque is pretty awesome too! I LOVE the green beadboard in the big guys room...
Our little ones room is tiny too and his brothers is huge, so I may stick them together one of these days and make a retreat for me (hubby said no)!
On a completely different note...we may hit 65 on Friday, no more SNOW!
I spy a little bit of Toy Story...GG loves that too!
I really like the colors you used in both rooms! What lucky little guys!
That picture is amazing your sister did! How special!
Thanks for linking up! Have a wonderful Tuesday!
I love all the great artwork you have. Really adds to the room!
Aww! I love Anthony's furniture!!
And I would not worry about the headboard for Christopher. They hide things between the bed and the headboard, lol. You will want him in that full bed soon enough... Unless it is really really bothering you. of course. :)
Awesome rooms! I like the themes in both rooms...especially Anthony's. The furniture is very nice too, but I would expect nothing less in your house. :-)
My kids have very long, narrow rooms. Their furniture fits fine now, but I don't know what is going to happen when they get "real" beds. Bryce is still in his crib and Rylie is in her toddler bed that we converted from her crib. Which, BTW, she still won't get out of unless I come get her. Works for me!

Love all of the paintings and the boys rooms!
I think we're about to move Jack to a toddler bed, too. He can't climb out of the crib yet, but I caught him trying really hard to get out of there the other day! We don't need any trips to the ER either! HA!
that portrait of Christopher is awesome! Thanks for stopping by my blog!
You have a really talented family!!! I love all the artwork and the rooms!
and of course the boys are the cutest!
Thanks for playing along friend!
I love their rooms and I think they look super cozy!
I love all the artwork....too cute. They are both just precious.
Hope your night is wonderful.
xo
Both rooms look great! I love that photo artwork! She did a great job!!
So cute! Your rooms put my kids' rooms to shame. Seriously, we have nothing on the walls in there (although we just moved a few months ago). Chloe is almost 2, and she is still in a crib. I'm leaving her in that sucker until she is 3. I'm hoping I'll be able to get one full year of good sleep before she starts her nightly trips down to my room! ;)
