Our first winter storm….

Last week the east coast was hit pretty hard with some winter weather. For those of you used to snow and cold, I commend you. I am not made for the winter. I would love to be wearing flip flops all year round. But living in NY, we are usually in for a least a few good snow storms during the winter.

Thank goodness the kids got a sled from Santa because it was literally the day after Christmas when the storm came. I just happened to be in Target the morning the snow started and there was not a sled or snowsuit to be had. The kids were glued to the window the entire time, waiting for it to stop so they could go outside. Chris went out to shovel and I got Christopher suited up to help his Dad.

There was no way I was going out to shovel. Sorry. But I looked out the window and all of the neighbors were outside helping eachother. It was really nice to see. As my contribution, I opened the window and yelled out to see if anyone needed a hot cup of coffee or hot chocolate. They all responded no. But they did ask for some plastic cups. I was wondering why.

Then I saw the wine bottle I guess it is a pretty fun way to shovel snow…LOL!

After shoveling we decided to go sledding. What was I thinking taking a 21 month old out in 2 feet of snow on the coldest, windiest day?? Anthony wanted no part. He was as stiff as a board and would not move his hands. It was hilarious!

I ended up holding Anthony while Chris and Christopher went down the hills.

I think I would be the girl that goes skiing and stays in the lodge!

I am not a cold-loving girl, but we got a little snow here in Charleston (not NEARLY as much as ya'll did) and I got really excited! I love snow for a little while!
And how hilarious is that person with wine? I guess they needed to stay warm?!

I'm that girl too! The few times I've been skiing, there was very little skiing for me. I'd much rather be sipping Baileys and hot chocolate! HA!

The kids look so cute all bundled up. I'm so thankful we don't get that much snow here in TX. Last winter Dallas got about 8 inches and that was record breaking snow. I hated every minute of it! HA!

Your neighbors look like they were having a ball!

Ha! I love the wine bottle! That snow storm was pretty crazy. Or, well, it looked that way from my 60 degree Christmas...

I'm not sure I'd even know what to do in that much snow.
